Volume 6 Chapter 11 Extra - Perfect Star Hotel
We arrived in the water country, Neroguma, heading toward its capital, Evashima.
Evashima is known as a city built on water.
Canals run through the town, with gondola rides transporting tourists across the waterways.
The weather was perfect today, so the gondolas were packed with people.
"Master, this town is beautiful, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is."
My wife, Frederica, is walking beside me.
She puffed out her cheeks, looking cute.
"What's wrong?"
"Well... I'm the one who's even more beautiful, right?"
"I see."
"No, no, not 'I see'! Repeat after me!"
"We're heading to the inn."
"Aww, Master~. Can you please pay more attention to your wife?"
She's a pain when I indulge her, so I ignore it.
Besides, saying something is beautiful when it is, is just too obvious and unrefined.
Soon enough, we arrived at a smaller inn in Evashima...
"Welcome, Sir Act," a voice greeted us.
A Beastman in a suit bowed deeply before me.
Frederica tilted her head in confusion.
"Who is this?"
"I don't know. Who the hell are you?"
The Beastman straightened up and replied.
"My apologies. I'm an attendant of the Perfect Star Hotel group."
"Perfect Star, huh?"
Hmm, I see.
So that's what this is about.
"Perfect Star Hotel group... I feel like I've heard of them before."
"It's the hotel group that Starlight made after going independent."
"Starlight... Oh! You mean the one who used to be a gem of our Guild?"
She used to be in my Guild, Gem of Heavenly Gift.
Starlight had a knack for business, so she was kicked out and joined the Merchant Guild.
Later, I heard she went independent and established her own hotel group.
So, it looks like Starlight somehow found out I was staying here and sent her attendant.
"The owner has instructed me to escort Sir Act to the finest hotel."
"You weren't planning on staying at a 5-star luxury hotel, were you?"
"Yes, it was the owner's decision. A little luxury for the newlyweds..."
"Hmph... No need to go overboard."
Well, might as well make the most of it.
No point in wasting a hotel room that's already been prepared.
"Shall we go inside?"
"Yes!"
Then Frederica's guy lets out a giggle, looking all pleased with himself.
"You're happy just to stay at a fancy hotel for free?"
"No, I'm happy because the gemstone Master picked up is a reminder of the favor I received. And now, this is their way of repaying it."
...Hmph.
Well, I guess I'm a bit pleased too.
