Volume 5 Chapter 21 Free Time!
The pirate ship, Jolly Roamer, sailed proudly.
It flew a pirate flag with an iron skull holding a jewel, moving across the huge ocean called the 'Treasure Ice Sea Fel'.
Most monsters in this dungeon don't attack the ship first.
Because the ship always uses 'Propulsion Boost' on the sea, monsters often jump onto the deck suddenly. So, it's more common to fight monsters up close instead of dealing with attacks from far away.
However...
The hero's master, Horace, was there with his golem, Deus, and his sister, Nousa.
The leaders of the hero group, Luster Report—Rangella, Ulrika, Cindy, Tiaris, Ellie, and Ramella—were also on board.
The guild master of the SS Adventurers Guild 'Worldsworn', Ivan, and his second-in-command, Leona, were present too.
And the energetic Lucia.
If someone were asked if they'd want to attack the ship with these 11 people and a golem on it, they'd definitely say no. But since it's a dungeon, enemies have to face them anyway.
It's a sad story, but the pirate ship kept going.
"This is amazing! Even on a ship, I built a 5-tier tower with playing cards!"
"Are you bored?"
"I'm bored!"
Lucia, excited about her card tower, nodded energetically when Ivan asked.
She really was bored.
The sea stretched endlessly, with no land in sight.
So, it was normal to just keep going, looking at the compass, with nothing changing in the view.
Monsters appeared, but as long as the lookouts were alert, it wasn't a problem.
As the captain, Lucia didn't need to be a lookout herself. The ship had magic tools to detect monsters, so there was no need for lookouts at all.
Lucia was the weakest fighter on board, so even if she gave casual commands, they didn't carry much weight.
So, Lucia was bored.
She was so bored that she put a desk on the deck and built a card tower on it.
"Ah, a treasure chest is floating nearby~"
"Eh, is it really a treasure chest!"
Hearing Ulrika's words, which she'd been staring at absentmindedly, Lucia ran toward it.
When she looked at the sea, sure enough, a treasure chest was floating there.
"Wow! ...How do we get it?"
"It's not that hard~"
Ulrika waved her finger, and a small wind blew.
To make the wind visible, she colored it white and directed it toward the chest.
When it hit the chest, she curled her finger, pulling it toward her.
With a splash, the treasure chest jumped out of the water and landed on the deck.
"Amazing!"
"When you want a treasure chest that's far away, this is a good way to get it~"
Lucia and Ulrika approached the treasure chest.
"I wonder what's inside!"
She opened the lid.
Inside, it looked like a white carpet.
"Hmm? What is this?"
"Hmm... it's a magic tool with a design I haven't seen before~"
They looked at it from different angles but couldn't figure out what it was for.
However, since it was a 'carpet' and not just 'cloth,' it was a finished product, not just material.
"If even Ulrika doesn't know, this must be a special dungeon item."
"Ah, Cindy."
Cindy, who had come up to the deck, explained.
By the way, Cindy is also a 'free agent.'
Cindy is a 'healer' in the hero group.
She's also good at using a staff, so she can fight up close, but her main job is healing.
However, lately, there haven't been many injuries among the group.
So, she helps by using magic to keep everyone's energy stable.
If we think of energy as something that naturally wants to stay balanced, her role is very important.
But, she's bored.
This is because most enemies don't need her stabilizing magic.
"I think that carpet will make gold coins or items appear when placed on the ground."
"Hmm?"
Lucia tilted her head.
Just then, a fish-shaped monster suddenly appeared by the boat. Ulrika pointed a finger without looking and defeated it with a fire arrow.
Then, a silver coin appeared on the carpet.
"Oh! So, this is a useful item for this dungeon!"
"That's right."
The 3 girls were excited.
"...Are they ignoring the fact that it was a one-hit kill without looking?"
Ivan, who had seen everything, felt like sighing.
SS rank Adventurers are incredibly strong. Even S rank is called 'inhuman,' and Ivan, who is above that, is even stronger.
In the past, he fought with Horace, who is slightly taller than him. Maybe he learned how to stay fit from Horace, so he looks quite strong.
There's no doubt his strength is real.
Plus, the area they're in now is the outer part of the dungeon, and they haven't gone far, so the monsters aren't very strong yet.
While the environment is special, once you get used to it, you can defeat monsters easily.
It's true, but even so, a no-look one-hit kill is impressive.
"...Well, whatever."
It wasn't just because they were together.
These girls had been personally trained in fighting by Horace.
Well, they should be able to do at least that much normally. Though he's not really sure.
