Volume 5 Chapter 10 Magic Society
I was called by Kagami-san to the Anti-Demon Special Forces Seijo Branch. It seems that Kagami-san's usual workplace is also Tsukiko's workplace.
Honestly, it's painful to face Tsukiko now. It can't be helped, so I came to the Seijo Branch with Lisha and Kanami.
"I'm sorry for calling you here while you're busy."
"No, it's totally fine."
"Please have a seat. I'll bring some tea."
We were led by Kagami-san to a room that resembled a reception room and sat on the sofa as instructed.
Despite being called the Anti-Demon Special Forces, the building itself looks like a regular office.
Fortunately, Tsukiko doesn't seem to be here, and I feel relieved.
A tired-looking man brought us tea, and Kagami-san entered the room again.
"Thank you for coming today. I assume you're busy with university?"
"No, it's okay. Is there something going on?"

"When you say 'our,' do you mean the Anti-Demon Special Forces?"

Listening to Kagami-san's explanation, it seems that the Anti-Demon Special Forces not only exorcise supernatural beings but also play a role in adjusting the Aether balance of the land and calming the restless spirits that sleep in various places. One of those beings we fought the other day was a demon.
Among those tasks, there seems to be another important one.
"A magic society?"
"That's a group of magicians and onmyoji who don't belong to the Anti-Demon Special Forces."
"I see. It's not surprising that such groups exist."
Indeed, it has never happened to me, but when I think about it, it's only natural. There are routes to acquire firearms and weapons, so they can be somewhat regulated, but magic is a matter of "knowing or not knowing."

"That's right, Kanami-san. Normally, they don't do anything openly, but recently they have started moving without paying attention to us."
"When you say they have started moving, do they have a purpose?"
Kagami-san suppressed a sigh and took out a small pouch. The blue bag seems to be something close to a magic tool. Similar to the nun's outfit Lisha is wearing, it exerts its effect through embroidery with threads infused with magic power.
Kagami-san opened the bag and took out a coin.
