Volume 1 Chapter 29 I Suggested To Shibata-San To Post Illustrations On An Illustration Submission Site

Summary of the previous chapter: Nakagaito sulked because I didn't invite her to play.

Now that I've prepared for Namiki-san and Nakagaito, maybe it's time to start building a friendly relationship with Shibata-san.

I've already mentioned during self-introduction that I read manga and light novels.

However, I haven't found anyone so far who seems okay with talking about otaku-related topics or doing karaoke with an anime song or Vocaloid theme.

So, I'm genuinely happy to have found someone who seems close to that.

However, I don't want to dive deep into otaku activities, so joining manga or anime study clubs wasn't something I had considered.

Joining such clubs might lead to unnecessary prejudice, after all.

However, being an otaku comes with a certain sense of pride or, rather, a kind of barrier. They don't really prefer it when casual fans who only have a superficial knowledge of anime or manga approach them in a flashy way.

Even though I'm otaku, my interests are quite specific, so it's quite valuable to have someone with whom I can have common topics and get excited about.

When I bring Namiki-san into our group, I rely on Shinonome-san who can naturally close the distance with her. However, when trying to get closer to Shibata-san, Shinonome-san's presence might actually be disliked.

In the case of Namiki-san, her good looks make her sensitive to the ill intentions of the same gender or opposite around her. On the other hand, female otaku like Shibata-san tend to be sensitive to being laughed at or misunderstood for her interests, so she also tend to be sensitive to ill intentions.

However, precisely because of that, I think she is more likely to open up to someone who shares the same pure hobby.

Well, surprisingly, there are many active otaku girls too. They actively participate in events like cosplay and doujinshi sales, and enjoy meetups with friends who share the same hobbies. Some of them even pay attention to their fashion and are quite stylish.

 So, the next morning.

Since I work at a patisserie after school on Fridays, if I want to talk to her, it would be first thing in the morning or during lunch break.

 I immediately head towards Shibata-san.

It seems like today she's drawing a different character from Kimetsu no Yaiba.

"Good morning, Shibata-san. Oh, today's drawing is Inosuke, huh?"

"Ah, good morning, Hata-kun. Yeah, Inosuke is great too."

Hmm, Zenitsu is really good when he puts in the effort, but he's generally a cowardly character, so he's popular among those who like cute things.

However, Inosuke is rough but has a beautiful face, so it's quite the opposite.

Because the protagonist, Tanjiro, is a serious and orthodox character, it lacks a bit of excitement, which makes the female fans slightly less interested.

"Even so, Shibata-san, your art skills are amazing, so how about trying to post on Pixiv?"

 "Posting, huh?"

"Yeah, I think it would be more enjoyable if you get reactions and feedback."

 "Uh, hmm..."

"Oh, if it's difficult without a computer, I can lend you my laptop."

"Oh, that would be helpful, but... I'm scared if there's no reaction."

When I said that, Shibata-san nodded.

"Well, it's true there's a high chance of no reaction initially, but I think that's normal at first. It's okay not to worry too much about it, and even if there's no reaction, it's fine. Just think about it casually."

 "I-is that so?"

"For now, I make sure to comment and give likes, you know?"

"Then, should I give it a try once?"

"Yeah, it's like a trial. Since mornings seem busy, how about trying it during lunch break?"

 "Yes."

 So, during lunch break.

"First, take a photo with a digital camera... transfer it to the computer, and convert it to JPEG..."

"Ah, I see, that's how you do it."

"If you're drawing digitally on your computer, you can just save it as is. So, let's get a free email address and register an account on Pixiv."

 "Ah, yes, sure."

"After that, you can post your illustrations from the work submission and set appropriate tags for the illustration content."

 "It's surprisingly easy."

"Yeah, it's surprisingly easy. Plus, you can send messages to other users and have direct communication, so you can also hear their feedback firsthand."

"Indeed, it was surprisingly easy once I tried it."

"And it would be good to make it possible to log in with a smartphone as well."

 "Ah, yes, thank you."

With this, if she receives a lot of positive feedback and gain confidence, it would be great. First, I'll access my account from my smartphone and leave feedback.

Also, I exchanged social media IDs with Shibata-san.

Now I can communicate with Shibata-san as well.

Hello, we have other project about someone who has returned from an isekai. The main character is a hero who has defeated the Demon Lord. However, for some reason, the human-demon war has resumed and will take place in the MC's original world. The MC, unaware of this, meets a Saint from that world and asks them to join the war. But what does the MC say? They refuse. Is it because their love was rejected by the princess when they adventured together in the past or are they simply fed up? And are the MC will join later? You can find out by clicking on the following => [Link]

We also have a similar genre returned from isekai but has different MC's characteristic. The story is punishing someone who troll in SNS, someone who cheat and many more. You can find out in => [Link]
