Volume 2 Chapter 1 Nakagaito Had A Nice Time On The Date, Which Is Good
Now, the moon and seasons changed, and it's June, meaning it's summer.
On Saturday, June 1st, after work, it's time for a date with Nakagaito.
I send a message to Nakagaito on social media.
[Can we meet at Tsunaduma Station at 1:15 PM for our date today?]
[Yeah, that's fine.]
[Great, see you later today.]
[Same here.]
Today, there's a buffet dinner at the hotel, so it's better to wear something casually elegant, not too formal.
Thinking about this, I put on the outfit Yayoi-chan picked for me and head towards the patisserie.
"Good morning."
Ikurumi-san was already making cakes and pastries early in the morning.
"Good morning. Oh? You're dressed up today."
"Ahaha, after part-time work, I have a date with a classmate."
"Ah, I see. That really makes you look cool, right?"
"Yeah, exactly."
I think Nakagaito will also come in with some style.
And then, just before opening, Kashiyama-san arrives for work.
"Good morning!"
"Good morning, Kashiyama-san."
"You know, last Sunday really helped me out."

After working until 1 p.m., I'm done for the day. Shibata-san, who has come to replace me, looks just as tired as always.

As I say that, Shibata-san's eyes light up.
"Yes, I finally got my hands on SSR!"

Well, that's how my part-time job ended.
So, I went to Tsunaduma Station.
And Nakagaito had already arrived and looked very fashionable.
"Sorry for making you wait, you were here first, after all."

"Oh, well, that's okay then. So, should we start by going to the Yurakucho Planetarium?"
"Yeah."
We traveled to Tokyo using the Rapid Line of the Sobu Yokosuka Line, transferred to the Yamanote Line, and it took about 45 minutes by train to reach Yurakucho.
We got off at the station and went to the Konica Minolta Planetaria TOKYO, which is located inside Yurakucho Mullion, just a 3-minute walk from the Ginza exit.
"It's surprising that there's a planetarium right in the center of Tokyo."
"Yeah, it's unexpected. Oh, today we're going to see the one in Dome 2 over here."
"Ah, yeah, let's go then."
So, we go inside the big building to watch the show that starts at 2:50 p.m. in Dome 2.
Here, there are special seats called "Galaxy Seats," which make the planetarium experience even more special. We go towards the seats for two people where only the two of us can enjoy the view of the stars.
"We're watching it here?"
"Yeah, I thought it would be nice to feel special."
"That's true."
"And it smells nice here, right?"
"Well, they're burning something that smells good here. It seems like they pay attention to small details."
It doesn't feel like we're in the middle of the city, it's quiet and relaxing.
"Hey... Isn't the seats too close?"
"Well, I guess that's how these seats are."
The show includes a switch between a movie called "Night on the Galactic Railroad" and videos of the starry sky, with occasional explanations.
"It's actually not bad...Hmm? Nakagaito, you're sleeping, huh?"
Nakagaito is sleeping peacefully next to me, making soft breathing sounds.
"Well, I guess I'll let her sleep..."
Even after the show, which lasted a little over an hour, Nakagaito was still fast asleep.
"Hey, showtime is over."
"Huh... what?"
"Good morning, you slept well."
"Ugh, don't watch a girl when she sleeps."
"Hmm? But your sleeping face was cute, you know?"
"N-No, that's not what I meant..."
"Anyway, it's done, so let's go outside."
"Yeah, okay."
We went outside the planetarium building.
"If we eat now, it might affect dinner later, so let's walk around Yurakucho and then go to Hotel Sanzankaso."
"Y-Yeah, that sounds good."
Speaking of Yurakucho, it's known for theaters like the Imperial Theater and Tokyo Takarazuka Theater, and Kabuki-za. But we don't have enough time to watch plays or Kabuki, so we'll stroll through the rooftop garden of "Kabuki-za Gallery," enjoy the old Japanese garden, have some tea at a Japanese tea cafe to quench our thirst, and then go to Hotel Sanzankaso.
It takes about 10 minutes by train from Yurakucho Station on the Yurakucho Line to Edogawabashi Station.
After that, we'll walk to Hotel Sanzankaso.
"Excuse me, I booked a room for today. The name is Hata."
"Ah, please sign here."
"Yes, okay."
Once I sign, we can go into the hotel.
Hotel Sanzankaso is famous for its big garden that looks like a forest. It's a special place with old things that are important, like some buildings that are part of our history.
In the garden, there's a nice spring with water and some animals live there, like fireflies, although people take care of them.
"It's more pretty than I thought..."
"It's cool to hear birds and bugs like it's normal."
"Yeah."
At night, you can see fireflies having a party in early summer.
"This bridge is called Benkei Bridge, and the fireflies flying now are Genji fireflies. They say Heike fireflies only come out after mid-June, but Genji fireflies are thought to be more beautiful."
When I said that, Nakagaito smiled and said,
"Fireflies' light is really pretty."
"Yeah. Nowadays, it's not easy to see fireflies."
"Yeah, studying a lot was worth it. Thank you."
"Well, if Nakagaito had fun, that's what's important."
I believe the date went well.
Oh, and just so you know, the food at the buffet was really tasty.
