Today's practice after school is the last time before the sports festival. We need to gather the members who came during lunch break and get ready on the volleyball court in the gym.

Shinonome-san tossed the ball to Hirose-kun, who then decisively spiked it.

"Namiki-san!"
"Yes."

I spoke to Namiki-san, who looked a bit sad.

And Nakagaito said,
"Both of you are really not good. I'll show you how it's done, so watch closely."

"Yes."

"Um, it's a bit like this. When the ball comes, don't put your hands up as soon as it hits them, and you don't have to bend your knees. Bend your hips, focus on the ball, squeeze your arms, and by doing that, reduce the force of the ball and lift it inside your own area."
"I sort of got it, but not completely... Still, it was useful."
After that, Namiki-san and I had a hard time catching the ball, sometimes dropping it on the ground or even hitting it in a strange direction. However, little by little, we started lifting the ball towards the person setting it.
"I couldn't quite do it perfectly and got a little nervous, but somehow it seems possible."

"Well, let's try our best together tomorrow."
I agreed.
"Yeah, let's give our best so everyone can enjoy the sports festival."
