Volume 2 Chapter 68 Choosing A Birthday Present For Shinonome-San Was Quite Difficult
Now, on Sunday, to thank Fumi-chan for helping with studying for the exams, we are going to the Tanabata festival and also to buy yukatas. But on Saturday, I'm planning to go buy Shinonome-san's birthday present with the usual group.
Before heading to work, I informed everyone on social media that we would meet at 10:30 AM in front of the east exit of Funabashi station.
As usual, I finished my part-time job after helping with the preparations at the patisserie, and while waiting in front of the exit at Funabashi station, Saikachi-san arrived.
It's still around 10:10 am, but they're so punctual.
"Good morning, Maeda-san."
"Good morning, Saikachi-san. You're early."
"It's not that early."
And then, 15 minutes before, Hirose-kun, Gouriki-kun, Nakagaito, and Namiki-san also arrived one after another.
Today, I'm going to look for presents with these five people. It seems like we will be divided into three groups: me and Saikachi-san, Hirose-kun and Gouriki-kun, Nakagaito and Namiki-san.
"Then, should we go to the Lost in the West Department Store Annex this time too?"
I said that, and Saikachi-san nodded.
"Yes, let's start by looking at the Lost. If we don't find anything good, we can also try going to the Seibu Department Store Main Building or the Tobu Department Store."

It might be a bit tricky with accessories depending on the item, but I believe cosmetics and nail supplies should be fine as long as they're not too flashy. You can probably find some affordable ones for around 2000 yen."
Nakagaito's opinion seems pretty good.
"I see, if it's something like the one sold in Lost, it probably won't be that expensive, so it might be a good idea."
The accessories and cosmetics in the main branch of Seibu Department Store are imported brands and are ridiculously expensive, so I don't think I can afford them.
Namiki-san said that I said so.
"Then it would be a good idea for the four of us to buy cosmetics and pouches together."
I agree with that opinion.
"That certainly sounds like a good idea."
Then Hirose-kun said with a wry smile.
"Well then, Gouriki-kun and I will go find some safe-looking miscellaneous goods."
So, the three girls and I decided to buy cosmetics and pouches, while Hirose-kun and Gouriki-kun will buy miscellaneous goods.
However, even if we're talking about affordable cosmetics and nail supplies, there are quite a few options.
"Hmm, it's difficult to decide on something that Shinonome-san would be happy to receive and could also wear when coming to school, and that is reasonably priced."
After looking around the cosmetics section, I finally found something that looks good.

Then, Nakagaito and Namiki-san selected a cute mirror with a pouch, and for now, our present was decided.
It seems like Hirose-kun bought a bath bomb.
"Bath bombs are cute and nice, right?"
I said that, and Hirose-kun laughed.
"Well, if it's something that girls would be happy with and at a reasonable price, there aren't that many options."
"I see, that's true."
So, it took quite some time, but we took the present for Shinonome-san to the cash register and got it wrapped. The birthday present was successfully obtained.
