Chapter 3 First Trial (Part Two)
When I looked in a different direction, I saw two boys climbing up on a rock.
"No! Get off the rock!"
However, the two boys, consumed by fear, couldn't come down into the bushes. They believed that it was safe on top of the rock. But now, four goblins emerged from the bushes and looked up at the two boys on the rock. They were holding spears.
"Eek!"
Finally understanding the disadvantage of being on the rock, the two boys were already too late. The goblins thrust their spears simultaneously.
"Ugh!"
The two boys were pierced in the abdomen from all directions by the spears. I could see them struggling and suffering as they spat out blood.
I approached two of the goblins from the inside. I slashed one of them's throat with a stone axe, and the other one I struck on the top of the head. Perhaps feeling that I was formidable, the remaining two goblins quickly fled from the scene.
The two boys on the rock tumbled and fell down. They were Inoue and Terai.
But there was no time to mourn their deaths. I picked up two spears from the defeated goblins and scanned my surroundings. I couldn't save everyone.
However, I had to save the important individuals.
I first looked for Morimura Manabu. Among the class, he is a guy who has the same otaku hobbies as me and we get along well. But I couldn't see him.
Next, I looked for Akamine Alice and Midoritani Tsubasa. Alice is the school's top-class pure and innocent beauty. Tsubasa is a girl who is good at sports.

"Sensei? Where is she?"
"Over there."
I looked in the direction pointed by Morimura and saw that Sensei was indeed surrounded by several goblins.
"This is bad, Sensei is in danger. Can you go up yourself?"
I asked Morimura, and he barely nodded. I ran towards Sensei while protecting Morimura. Sensei desperately waved the attendance book in her hand, trying to keep the goblins away. But it was no use. The goblins swung their stone axes. Blood flew from Sensei's left arm. Then another goblin's stone axe lodged into her right shoulder.
"!!!!"
A scream that didn't sound like Sensei's voice echoed.
"Sensei!"
I shouted.
"Don't come!"
Sensei noticed my voice and shouted. When I was surprised and stopped, Sensei raised her right hand and pointed.
"Hojou-kun, don't worry about me. Escape with the other students!"
Immediately after those words, a goblin swung its stone axe into Sensei's leg. Sensei fell to their knees and collapsed. After that...it was a brutal beating by the goblins. Clubs and stone axes mercilessly struck Sensei's beautiful body.
"Kawaharasaki-sensei..."
Morimura murmured in astonishment next to me.

Sensei always dies in the first attack.
So I didn't understand the role of Sensei.

But I couldn't just leave the frightened girls behind. That would only make them prey for the goblins.

I lead the three of them, heading towards where Akamine Alice and Midoritani Tsubasa are. At that moment, I saw two goblins with spears targeting them. Akamine Alice and Midoritani Tsubasa also noticed the goblins. Alice let out a scream, and Tsubasa embraced her to protect her.

The goblin fell down right in front of Akamine Alice and Midorikawa Tsubasa. I called out to Tsubasa Midorikawa.

At that moment, several boys were seen approaching Alice and Tsubasa. Among them was the student council president, Kondo Shuichi. It meant that important figures had gathered in that place. However, there was a group of goblins between us and them. It would be difficult for me to make it there in this situation. There's no other choice. I jumped onto a nearby rock.
"Everyone, run into the forest! The goblins have turned this grassland into their hunting ground. They can easily hide here. It's advantageous for the goblins. If we run to the forest, the goblins, who would be clearly visible, won't attack us so easily!"
Some of my classmates turned their eyes towards me. I pointed towards the forest again with my spear.
"Run into the forest! Don't go alone, go in groups!"
The goblin that noticed me rushed towards the rock. It leaped towards me with a stone axe. But I calmly thrust out the spear in my hand. The spear accurately pierced the goblin's open mouth and protruded from the back of its head. I threw the motionless goblin into the bushes by swinging the spear. The goblins watching this were filled with fear towards me, and my classmates looked at me with astonishment. I jumped down from the rock and said to Morimura and the other two.
"Run to the forest. I will find the enemy, so all three of you follow me."
With that, I hid myself in the grass and started moving towards the forest. Morimura, Nemoto Reiko, and Nomura Mika followed behind me. I prayed in my heart.
