Chapter 120 Is That So? Well, That'S How It Is
We left the cafeteria and went straight to the courtyard. Rosalier-san guided me to the stables. Centrena and the others had finished their meal, so I thought I could at least brush them. But as soon as she saw my faces, she grabbed my sleeves with her teeth and pulled me.
I thought her actions meant, 'Please brush me,' but it was different. Her mouth was wide open and she wouldn't close it.
"Centrena"
'Kuuh'
She skillfully produces sound with her mouth open.
"You've had your meal, right?"
'Kuh'
"But why? Oh, could it be, more bread and meat?"
'Kuu'
Once she closed her mouth and I thought she answered clearly, she opened her mouth again.
"Anything, anything Goshujin-sama will let me eat."
"Yeah."
"It's like a snack, it seems."
"No way."
'Guu'
"Does Alesion want something too?"
'Guu'
In the end, losing to the two who were acting spoiled, Rosalier-san and I decided to prepare bread, grilled meat skewers, and root vegetables, and make something like a hot dog for them to eat.
"Oh, by the way, Rosalier-san."
"Yes, what is it?"
After returning from the guild and being taken straight to the dining hall, and chatting with Privia-san even after the meal, I completely forgot about it.
"Where is my room?"
I think I took a nap in the guest room earlier this morning, if I recall correctly.
"Yes, I will guide you later, but you see, this mansion has a lot of vacant rooms. I also have a room. It's next to Lady Danna Vinna (Oku-sama)."
Rosalier-san looked really happy. I see. It seemed like Danna-san and a few others were living here, managing it together. This place is so huge that I can't even imagine how many of our mansions could fit in here. It's practically like a castle.

Come to think of it, Maya-chan, who absolutely loves to fluff, didn't come. Thinking that, I pass through the courtyard and enter the mansion.
If one passes through the hall and turns right at the dead end, the dining room can be found. On the left is the kitchen. If one turns right and immediately turns left, there's the staircase where Maya-chan came down with Privia-san this morning, being carried in her arms.
I heard that if someone continues straight instead of going up the stairs, there's a bath. Apparently, there's one on the first and second floors, but the first floor is supposed to be used mostly. The first floor is originally for the staff and guests, you know.
"My room is also on this floor."
Rosalier-san explains as we climb the stairs.
I heard that the second floor has guest rooms and rooms for the staff. There's even a warehouse, it seems.
Floor 3 has rooms for Privia-san and me. Oh, I guess I'm on the 3rd floor too. When I go up the stairs, there are hallways stretching to the left and right. There are so many rooms here, it's hard to believe that only a few people live here.
"Privia-sama's room and study are prepared in the back on the left, and Goshujin-sama's are in the back on the right."
I turned right and, huh? I'm pretty sure this was the place where the mansion surrounded the courtyard in a square shape, wasn't it? Oh, I'll turn left again at the end. Wow, it's only about 20m (65ft) to my room, isn't it?
"Hey, I passed quite a few people on the way here, you know?"
"Yes."
"Are we the only ones living here? Maybe?"
"That's right. Except for Privia-sama, Danna Vinna-sama, and several maids, it seems like others come and go."
"Seriously?"
By the way, this is Danna-san, Rosalier-san's room. Maya-chan is also on this floor. I heard that Diemirena-san, who became the maid, also moved to this floor. It's probably somewhere in the room I have been passing through.
There are clearly too many vacant rooms. Finally, we came close to the end, and there's a door about 10m (32.5ft) away. Rosalier-san stops there and knocks. Why? Is someone there?
"It's Rosalier. Tatsuma-sama has returned."
"Huh?"
She opens the door, and Rosalier-san bows sideways right there. And guess what? I can hear voices talking!
"Ah, you finally came back!"
"Maya-sama, Maya-sama, is this person the young master (Waka-sama)?"
"Young master? Hmm, the young master? I guess that's right after all."
Who's that? Young master, huh? Maya-chan is sitting on the sofa drinking tea, and slightly behind her is a girl from the cat-people men serving. Oh, so that's her?
Then she bowed to me and looked at me intently, and she smiled.
"Nice to meet you. I have become a maid for Maya-sama. My name is Diemirena."
"Oh, I'm Tatsuma. What am I? Am I the son of this place, I wonder?"
"Yes, nice to meet you."
"Call her Mii-chan, okay?"
Maya-chan added, but no way, right?
"No, that's a little... At least I'll call her Diie-san or Rena-san."
"Yes. My parents called me Rena, so please call me that."
"Hmm, but Mii-chan is cuter."
Even though she looks like a girl, she's older than me, right? That's right, isn't it?
"Anyway, take care of Maya-chan, okay?"
"Yes, understood."
Wow, first of all, what is this place all about? It's like one of those super spacious luxury hotel suites in some fancy resort I saw on TV.
There's a big sofa and a table by the window overlooking a courtyard. There's a door on the right and another on the left.
And then, the door on the left opens, and I hear a familiar voice from there.
"Oh? Tatsuma-kun, you're back?"
"Oh my, Tatsuma-chan. Welcome home. Must be tired, huh?"
"Wh-what are you doing? And Privia-san and Mom (Danna) too?"
"Oh, don't worry. This is where your bedroom and study are. I left the spellbook on the bookshelf in the study."
"Oh, thank you so much. Wait, did you say bedroom and study?"
I decided to go further into the room behind the door where Privia-san and the others came out. What on earth is this? There's another huge space like a living room, and there are two doors side by side. The one on the left is wide open, and I can see a bed, so it must be the bedroom. The one on the right is probably the study, I guess.
"Hey, what's with this size?"
"Oh yeah? It's smaller than my room, you know?"
"It's wider than here!"
I couldn't help but add tsukkomi.
I open the door to the room on the right, which seems to be a study. There's a desk, like the one in the head manager's office. There's a bookshelf on the wall, with about 10 old-fashioned books placed there.
"All of these?"
"Yeah, these are spellbooks I can't read either."
"Goodness me..."
I closed the study door and returned to the first living room-ish place where Maya-chan was.
"Tatsuma-sama. Everyone has just finished their meal earlier."
"Ah, sorry for being late."
"No, will you have your meal here? Or will you go to the dining hall?"
"Yeah, I think I'll go to the dining hall."
"That's right, that's right. If the smell of food lingers in the room, it's hard to relax, you know?"
"Also, I'd like to talk about the plans starting from tomorrow."
"Yeah, that's right."
Privia-san says that too. I kind of felt the same way.
"Well then, everyone. Could I please go to the dining room please?"
"Yeah, I got it."
"Yeah, let's do that."
We all walk to the cafeteria on the first floor.
While everyone is drinking tea and relaxing, I'm deciding to eat alone. It's like I don't feel the same as an overworked dad coming home late, maybe because everyone is still here. It's kind of embarrassing to feel like I'm not alone.
Privia-san, Danna Vinna-san, and Rosalier-san also seem to ask me to eat together, so I guess I was the only one who didn't eat. Privia-san told me it's because they value family time. Yeah, I'm glad she thinks the same way as me, maybe?
