Volume 3 Chapter 15 Something Unexpected Is About To Happen, But...
The figure before us resembled a giant goblin, with enlarged fangs and thick limbs. In its hand, it held a massive wooden club that matched its towering height.
"It's a troll. It appears to be leading this group."
Was she aware of the existence of the 'boss' that Gram was talking about? Mikage remained composed even in the presence of this colossal monster. Though her words were calm, her expression remained stern.
"What about its strength?"
"In terms of intelligence, it's slightly superior to a goblin. But when it comes to sheer physical power, there's no comparison."
Considering the troll's enormous size and its ability to swing the club effortlessly, it must possess incredible strength.
"Can you handle it?"
"If it's just the troll, I can take care of it myself. However, if we're also attacked by the group, I have my doubts."
The goblins have decreased in number, but there are still many of them. When facing the Kobold King, Mikage was in danger because of the interference of its subordinates, the Kobolds. She still vividly remembers that.

It was something Kyunei threw, appearing from the door of the church.
"Kyunei! Are the injured people okay?"

Kyunei, holding a knife between her fingers, prepares herself next to me.
'This is perfect. Leave the boss (troll) to Mikage, and Kyunei and you will take care of the small fry (goblins) to balance things out.'

Thanks to Kyunei coming, I come up with an idea. It flashes in my mind the moment I see her.
"Mikage. Put aside your doubts and answer honestly. Which one is 'tougher', the troll or the kobold king?"

I threw a heavy black spear at the troll.
The black spear flew through the air and soared like a mountain.
The troll, seeing the spear I threw, raised the club it was holding. It must have thought it could easily deflect a spear thrown by a human due to its low intelligence.
But the black spear easily crushed the huge club swung by the troll and blew away its skull.
The troll, having lost its head, took a few steps forward and then fell with a loud noise.
The goblins seemed unable to comprehend the situation. They looked stunned at the fallen troll. They probably never thought their leader would die so easily.

It seemed the same for here too. Mikage and Kyunei also couldn't accept what had happened and stood still.
──Crunch.
"Aarrrgghhh!!"
I screamed in pain as the intense agony shot through my entire body. Unable to bear it, I fell to my knees.
I had thrown a black spear of almost the same weight as when I pierced the heart of the Kobold King. It was only natural that this would be the result due to the recoil. Even though I had prepared myself, it still hurt. But the fact that I could still maintain my consciousness and my body was relatively unharmed showed that I had grown.
