Chapter 34 The Fairy'S Friend
"May I have a word with you, Ms. Sara, and those young ladies over there? I don't mind, do you?"
"Yes. I'm fine, but are you all okay?"
"""I understand."""
Next, Rebecca whispered in a small voice towards the sky, and the plants began to rustle and move, creating a narrow path leading to the eastern hut.
"Will you ladies wait here for a moment?"
Rebecca also called out to the guardians. Of course, no one dared to defy her after their previous exchange. The maids also accurately read Rebecca's instructions and quietly stepped back.

When Sara and the others arrived at the eastern hut, the path behind them was once again closed off by the plants. Sara thought to herself, "This is crazy!", but didn't say it out loud.
The eastern hut was overgrown with vines, and the area around the small chairs and table was also covered in weeds. Sara used her water magic to extract water from the plants, drying them out, and then used her fire magic to burn them away. She further used her wind magic to blow away the ashes and then used her water magic again to wash the chairs and table.
"Yeah, magic is really convenient."
Rebecca's Egypt-like magic was even more impressive, but Sara herself wasn't very aware of it.
"You've improved so much in such a short time. But it's better if others don't know about it. Can you ladies keep it a secret?"
The 3 of them looked at each other and nodded.
"Then let's get to the main topic. As I mentioned earlier, I have a fairy friend. I'll show you."
Rebecca smiled brightly and held out both hands. Then, a sparkling light began to gather around her palms.
"Ms. Sara, take a good look. You should be able to see it too."
Sara tried to focus on the gathering light as Rebecca prompted her, but it was too dazzling and she couldn't keep her eyes open. She closed her eyes, and for some reason, she could hear multiple voices speaking to her at once through both ears.
"Can you hear our voices?"
"Notice us!"
"We're here!"
"Sara, open your eyes!"
I slowly opened my eyes, and there were many small animals floating in mid-air. The types of animals varied, with cats, dogs, birds, and many others. They were fluttering around Sara, some even perching on her shoulders or playing with her hair.
"Eh, eh, eh? What's going on, Miss Rebecca? There are small animals flying around me!"
"Ah, you can finally see them. These children are fairies."
"I thought fairies were small people with wings on their backs..."
"There are fairies like that, too. Fairies can change their forms on a whim, so they don't always look the same. But usually, they stick to a form they like."
"That's right, isn't it?"
Just then, a fairy like a 3-colored cat, who was playing with Sara's hair, spoke up.
"I've been by Sara's side for a long time, since Sara was with her parents."
"I had no idea. Sorry about that. What's your name?"
"I don't have a name yet. Sara can give me one!"
"Can I really name you?"
"Yeah! A name is something you get from a friend."
"That's right. How about 'Mike'?"
"Thanks, Sara. I'm Mike!"
Delighted, Mike flew around Sara's head, scattering light particles everywhere. The particles rained down on Sara.
"Is this...?"
"Yes, that's the blessing of the fairies."
'Wow, it's so beautiful... Wait, does this mean I won't age quickly? Does this mean I'll stay a kid forever?'
"M-Miss Rebecca! Will I really grow up super slowly?"
"Hehe, don't worry about it. Your body will still grow normally until it matures."
'Okay, good... Miss Rebecca looks like she's around 18 years old, right?'
"Yes, that's it. Now Sara is finally with Mike!"
Just then, Mike, who had flown down, perched on Sara's shoulder and started playing with her hair... and whispered a small voice in her ear.
"Sara, your appearance can be stopped at any age you like, and you can also become younger or older freely."
"Wait, does that mean I can instantly become an adult or go back to being a kid after growing up?"
"Yeah. It's because Sara has magical powers. And it's rare to find a fairy like that!"
Mike looked proud of himself.

Before Sara could even react, Rebecca continued the conversation.
"Anyway, since Ms. Sara has safely received the blessing of the fairy, let's continue the talk. First, we want you girls to keep it a secret that Ms. Sara has made friends with a fairy."
The 3 of them, who had been watching Sara and Rebecca with their mouths agape, nodded silently.
"And on that note, is there anyone who wants to talk to the fairy?"

The 3 of them raised their voices in unison.
"Good answer. To talk to the fairy, you need to become friends with it like Ms. Sara and I did."
"How do we become friends?" Amelia asked with sparkling eyes.
"You need to have magical powers and be able to use magic. And on top of that, you need to find a fairy who wants to be friends with you."
"Aww, that's impossible for me..." Alicia slumped her shoulders.
"I was told I have magical powers at the church, but I haven't been able to use magic yet," Teresa was also looking down, and Amelia, who was sitting next to her, probably couldn't use magic either.
"I can sense magical powers, but all of you girls have them. You might not be as strong as Ms. Sara, but I think you can probably use magic. Ms. Alicia and Ms. Amelia seem to have an affinity for water magic, and Ms. Teresa seems to have an affinity for fire magic."

Sara stared intently at the fairies around them.
"Ms. Alicia's fairy has a fish-like appearance. Ms. Teresa's fairy is a small red bird. Ms. Amelia's fairy looks like a horse, but its lower body is fish-like, so it's a bit different from a horse."
"Thank you, Ms. Sara. That means there are already fairies waiting to be friends with you all."
With the prospect of increasing their fairy friends, Sara's tension also rose.
