Volume 6 Chapter 32 The Airship Of The Young Leaves Mark

When I looked up from the deck of the airship, I saw the big wind Magic Stone that powers it.

It's way bigger than the fire and water Magic Stones we use in Lobelia's kitchen.

Sir Roxas was holding the round steering wheel near the front of the deck, touching the emerald green Magic Stone in the middle with one hand.

The huge wind Magic Stone above sparkled, and the ground shook beneath my feet.

The airship started moving straight out of the giant storage area toward the courtyard.

Peach Bun the Swan, carrying Elder Brother Chrisrain and the others, flew up into the sky and looked down at us. A big shadow from Peach Bun the Swan fell on the deck.

"Sir Roxas, it's so big and amazing... I can't believe it moves like this!"

"Lydia, I'm really focused right now. Please be quiet."

Even though it looked like a big balloon ship, it was so cool to see it move straight ahead that I peeked over at Sir Roxas, who was gripping the steering wheel a bit excitedly. He got mad.

 "I'm, I'm sorry..."

"No, I'm not angry. It's just that this is the first time flying with anyone other than my brother. And it's been a while since I flew. Your words are making it hard for me to concentrate."

 "Eek..."

 "What is it...?!"

Suddenly, someone hugged me from behind, and I jumped a little.

Eir-Eir and Ms. Famine, who were in my arms, got squeezed tightly too, making unhappy faces while saying, "Pudding!" and "Tatin...!"

"Princess, the airship shakes the most when it takes off. If you get thrown off the deck, it would be bad, so hold on tight. Make sure Eiris and Famine don't get blown away."

 "Y-yes..."

"Princess, you hold Eiris and Famine tight. I'll protect you. Right now, I sensed that Lucian was trying to do the same thing, so I got to you first. I thought it would be sad for Roxas if you and Lucian were getting along while he was steering."

"Sir Rail, please stop making weird accusations. I don't hug women without permission."

"You were planning to ask for permission, right, Lucian?"

"Flying in the sky is dangerous. We need to make sure Lydia and the kids don't get blown away... and it's dangerous for Dad too, so come over here."

Mr. Lucian picked up Dad, who was walking around the deck.

By the way, what happened to Dad's secret story? Everyone is here, but now it feels like it's not the right time for that.

I'm curious about Dad's story, but right now, it's about Sir Ciel.

"Um, Sir Rail, it tickles when you talk so close to my ear..."

"Really? My voice isn't so bad if I lower it a bit. Hehe, princess, you're cute. As a hero, I want to hug you on the ship's deck and say... can you feel the wind? This world is so beautiful..."

"Sir Rail, I don't really get it... um, you're too close..."

Sir Rail's usually cheerful voice changed to a deeper, manly tone just by lowering it a little.

When he talked so close, it felt like the sound was going straight into my ears, making my body tingle.

"Lydia, you're distracting me. Be quiet for a bit. We're about to fly. Hold on tight."

I didn't think I was doing anything wrong, but Sir Roxas got mad at me.

Sir Rail and Mr. Lucian held onto the railing near the steering wheel, and I hugged Eir-Eir and Ms. Famine tightly.

The feeling of floating hit my body. It felt like the wind was wrapping around me.

If I didn't hold on tight, I would definitely get blown away.

The big ship wrapped in wind floated up into the sky.

Peach Bun the Swan flew nearby, not too close but not too far.

Below us, the view of Duke Girard's house and the town spread out, getting smaller and smaller.

The clouds and sky felt closer than the ground.

The ship, which was tilted a bit, straightened out, and the floating feeling went away, making the bumps feel less intense.

"Lydia, be careful! After I finish talking with Lord Galeon, I'll join you!"

 "Sir Stefan too...!"

Sir Stefan was waving from the Peach Bun the Swan.

When I waved back, he clenched his hand and raised it to the sky.

The Peach Bun the Swan was moving away from the airship.

Sir Roxas looked straight ahead and muttered, "We managed to take off... now it's time to land."

"That was fun, princess. The airship is stable when it's floating in the sky. Taking off and landing are the most exciting parts."

Sir Rail suddenly let go of my hand and said with a smile.

"Brother... please don't do dangerous things like that again. What if my magic goes out of control and the controls disappear?"

"About earlier? What are you talking about?"

 "You know what I mean."

Sir Roxas glared at Sir Rail with half-closed eyes while gripping the controls tightly.

Sir Rail shrugged and laughed happily.

"Isn't it better to stay calm than to see Lucian touch the princess too much right in front of you?"

"...Sir Rail, please don't say that out loud. I know my place."

 "That's a lie, Lucian."

"Well, yes. It is a lie."

Mr. Lucian was talking to Sir Rail while holding my dad.

I quickly grabbed Eir-Eir, who was trying to fly away excitedly saying, "Pumpkin pudding!" and pushed her back into my dress to keep her from getting blown away by the wind.

Ms. Famine was wrapped around my neck, staying quiet.

I had felt really anxious and wanted to cry just a moment ago, but listening to Sir Rail, Sir Roxas, and Mr. Lucian's usual banter helped me feel a bit calmer.

I'm sure it'll be okay. Sir Ciel will come back.

Sir Ciel is a very important friend. My first friend.
