Volume 11 Chapter 2 Everyone's Costume Contest
Once SylSyl and the others finished changing, Mr. Lucian and Sir Ciel took everyone down to the restaurant on the first floor.
I think they were being considerate, assuming I'd change too, probably.
Just a little more until Lobelia opens.
I decided to hurry up and get changed as well.
Since I'll be cooking, I shouldn't wear anything too flashy, but I didn't want something too plain either.
I was hoping for something cute, and then Mr. Leavis prepared not just Sir Ciel's outfit but also my costume.
"Ms. Lydia. I made this to match Sir Ciel. Matching is important. Saintwise and the royal palace craft club are always cheering for Sir Ciel and Ms. Lydia. I can't quite understand why Lord Lucian is here."
"Sorry about that, Leavis. Lydia, is it a problem if I'm here?"
"It's not a problem, but... originally, I'm staying at Sir Ciel's place, I'm a freeloader, and Mr. Lucian is also a freeloader, so I guess this is what they call a share house, Mr. Leavis."
"I see. Sir Ciel surely doesn't think of Ms. Lydia as a freeloader. Please stay together for a long time. It'll be refreshing for me."
"Leavis, you shouldn't say unnecessary things."
With a face like a dark mage, Mr. Leavis smiled, and Sir Ciel warned him, so they didn't talk about it any further.
I started living with Sir Ciel because I thought it would be tough to raise SylSyl alone, so I asked Sir Ciel for help.
Mr. Lucian is here because Sir Ciel's place was a disaster.
Despite his appearance, Sir Ciel is really bad at cleaning up, and his living space is super messy.
I said that if we continued living together, it would be tough for me, so Mr. Lucian, who is good at managing life, decided to stay with us.
Most of the furniture and interior design for Lobelia was chosen by Mr. Lucian.
Mr. Lucian's got great taste, you know? He's super stylish, and all his furniture and little decorations are just beautiful and cute.
It's not all flashy or anything, but it's simple and cozy while still being fashionable, which is pretty impressive.
Mr. Lucian's got more feminine charm than I do, and he can cook and is great at laundry.
It's a huge help.
Of course, Sir Ciel helps out too.
Sir Ciel's really knowledgeable and super liked by Eir-Eir and the other.
Gem's People are Witch Sylphina's kids, and Sir Ciel's half Gem's People.
So, to Eir-Eir and the other, he's kinda like a little brother, I guess.
Mr. Lucian mentioned that.
He can understand monster language, so he sometimes translates for us.
But when there's nothing going on, Eir-Eir and the other only say stuff like "mama," "mommy," "food," "yummy," "sleepy, sleepy," and "I hate baths." It's adorable.
By the way, if they really put their minds to it, they can turn back into their original forms, or rather, become adults for a few minutes.
They can talk then, but unless something major happens, they usually don't turn into adults.
I mean, they're just too big.
If they all turned into adults, they'd break the house, so I keep reminding them not to grow too big.
Anyway, right now, I'm living this super cozy, warm life.
If I wake up in the middle of the night and go to Lobelia, Sir Ciel's reading a book, and in the morning, Mr. Lucian makes me coffee.
It's really calming.
I know it's selfish, but I kinda want to stay like this a little longer.
It's my first time raising a kid too.
SylSyl is an easy baby, but since it's my first time, I still feel nervous and anxious.
It's really nice to have someone to talk to.
Though, both of them have work trips sometimes, so there are days when they're not around.
While I was thinking about all that, I changed into the outfit Mr. Leavis brought me.
A red headpiece, a red dress with a ribbon on the chest, and it's turned into a flouncy apron dress.
This outfit matching with Sir Ciel is probably because Sir Ciel is a silver wolf, right? There's that fairy tale about a wolf and a girl in a red hood.
The girl in the red hood gets eaten by the wolf.
But I doubt the silver wolf, Sir Ciel, would eat me.
"That's a bit embarrassing..."
After changing, I check my appearance in the mirror of my room.
I feel like I've become more feminine, but maybe not that much.
With my black hair and purple eyes, I look a lot brighter than I did a year ago, and for some reason, I feel shy and hesitate to go downstairs to show everyone my look.
But I can't just keep being shy alone in my room.
Today, I'm supposed to have everyone try the Halloween menu.
I've also prepared a lot of candy to hand out to the kids.
"Alright!"
With determination, I head downstairs, and I'm greeted by Sir Rail, who's wearing fox ears and an exotic kimono, Sir Roxas, all wrapped up in bandages, and Sir Stefan, who has 2 horns sticking out from his head.
