Volume 1 Chapter 24 Benjamin
This story is from big brother Benjamin's point of view.
Benjamin Sanroze.
He's the second son in the Sanroze family.
Right now, he's in his 4th year at Magic Academy, and he just got promoted to Instructor.
That happened because his magic research, which he started last year, got recognized.
He doesn't really care about the job title, but becoming an Instructor means no tuition fees until graduation, plus he gets a lab, research funds, and a salary.
The best part is the school cafeteria costs get waived.
Nobles' kids from across the kingdom come here, so the cafeteria has a special "S" rank food level fit for nobles──and he gets to eat all of that for free.
That's quietly awesome
"Sir Benjamin, I brought the 'magic stone' you asked for."
The maid who works in the nobles' dorm brought the "magic stone" she was told to buy.
"Thanks."
Benjamin took the bag with the "magic stone" from the maid.
"Sir Benjamin, you look happy about something."
"Really?"
When the maid pointed that out, he realized he was way more excited than usual to see his little sister and brother for the first time in 2 years.
Two days later, Benjamin was riding in a shared carriage heading to Sanroze territory's main town.
Normally, noble kids get picked up by a private carriage from home, but the Sanroze family isn't rich, so coming back home means using the shared carriage.
Inside that carriage, Benjamin reread a letter from his dad Luke, sent 5 months ago.

Benjamin, I hope you're doing well.
I want to know you're safe and sound; if you need anything, write right away.
Also, don't forget to send Lydia a letter sometimes.
By the way, changing the subject──little brother Cain recently had his "ceremony of baptism" and got gifted 2 magic skills: Earth magic and Magic circle magic.
So, I have 2 favors to ask.
First, I want Cain to teach me how to do "Mana Control.".
Second, I want to find out what kind of [Magic circle magic] skill Cain got.
Sorry I can't come pick you up, but please come back with the money I sent you.

'Phew, I get the requests, but what's the big rush? If he can't do 'Mana Control,' he need ten times the MP, so normally he'd just grow up and train, right? Does Cain have a lot of MP or something?'
He put away the letter he was reading and drifted into thought.
Ten days later, Benjamin finally arrived in the territory town.
One of the coachmen was from the Sanroze domain and noticed Benjamin, so he took him by carriage all the way to the mansion.
"Welcome back, Sir Benjamin."
One of the Sanroze butlers opened the carriage door and greeted him.
When Benjamin got off the carriage, a grown-up Alice and Cain were waiting at the entrance.
"Elder Brother Ben, welcome home,"
Cain greeted his brother Benjamin with a big smile.
"Hey, Alice and Cain, you've grown up."
Benjamin narrowed his eyes and spoke to Alice and Cain who had come to greet him.
'What is this "Mana"?'
Benjamin, sensing a huge "Mana," used his [Mana Vision] skill to look at Cain.
'Cain, what huge "Mana" do you have!?'
With Benjamin's [Mana Vision], the "Mana" swirling around Cain was clearly visible.
"Father, about the letter you sent, could you tell me more?"
Moving to the guest room, Benjamin asked his father Luke about the matter.

'I see, so that's why he called me back. I've gotta make sure cute Cain doesn't get hurt and get him to learn "Mana Control" soon. Can't wait♪'
Benjamin stared at Cain with a smile on his lips.
