Volume 6 Chapter 70 Threat's Unfairness

Originally, Rouza planned to vacate the inn he frequently used, but due to some unexpected individuals joining in, the plans had to be abruptly changed.

"Sorry for suddenly showing up with so many people."

"Since Rouza-sama is always a big fan of ours, this is no problem. We've cleared everyone out, so please take your time."

"We apologize for the inconvenience, again and again."

The one dealing with Rouza is a dazzling beauty in resplendent attire, her long hair adorned with vibrant decorations, each piece exuding charm and elegance. The alluring yet not vulgar woman rises gracefully from her seated position, bows demurely, and exits the room.

 "Um, this... this place is..."

"It's a place I frequent. It's perfect for confidential talks. The inn is fine too, but when it comes to accommodating numbers, this place is more convenient."

The magician girl, Mayuri, asks with her cheeks flushed red, while Rouza answers with his usual chuckling laughter. Beside him, Relix seems a bit uneasy in his seat.

 That's to be expected.

After meeting up with Kyunei and the others at the inn, they were led by Rouza to a pleasure district──a brōtḥel, to be exact.

For us, it's a familiar atmosphere, but for the Brave group's 2, it's clear they're new to this.

On the other hand, the 1st rank mercenary, Gabert, and the monk, Shion, are remarkably composed. The mercenary aside, what's with the monk's calm demeanor?

"I'm a scheming priest, so I've often visited such places since my time in Arcus."

Noticing my gaze, the monk openly confessed without being asked. His sheer candidness makes the mercenary (Gabert) furrow his brow in response.

Kyunei covers his mouth with his hand, going "Ah."

"By the way, I've heard rumors about a high-ranking monk who's surprisingly well-compensated among the clients."

"I never thought I would meet the beautiful princess who made a name for herself in the royal capital in this foreign land. I wish I had met her while she was still active."

"Sorry, but now I only have eyes for this person."

 "That really is unfortunate."

Kyunei sits next to me, leaning on my arm. Watching her full breasts bury my forearm, Shion shrugs his shoulders. He looks disappointed but shows no sign of regret or longing.

"I'm surprised that Silver Flash is just acting normal."

Gabert, the mercenary, looks surprised, sitting on the opposite side of Kyunei from Mikage. She casually snuggles close, sipping her drink. She has a composed face, but her tail brushes my arm, feeling soft and pleasant. She doesn't reply to the words thrown at her, probably indicating she doesn't find it worth responding.

"And why would Reed be doing the Trampling (Reed) thing too? Also, wait, you were a girl? I thought you were a guy this whole time."

"Well, I never exactly broadcasted whether I was a man or a woman. But if my past self saw who I am now, she'd definitely be wide-eyed and stunned."

Reed, who seems familiar, grins shamelessly at Gabert's annoyed glare. She's behind me, resting her chin on her arm as she hugs me from behind. Because she's in a relaxed, armorless outfit, I can feel the softness of her ample chest against my back.

"By the way... could it be that Aina-sama too?"

"I am now a commoner, having lost my inheritance. No need to call me 'Your Majesty,' Relix-san. As for your question──well, that's about it."

Speaking of Aina, she's seated comfortably on my lap, her hips snugly fitting. I'm happy with how close she is. The reason she's sitting there is probably a bit of rivalry with the others. She's adorable. The girl, once my fiancée, seems shocked by Relix's words.

Looking back, this might be the first time all my companions and the Brave group are together. And on foreign soil, no less──that's truly extraordinary.

But, I couldn't just be happy about this coincidence.

The Brave party is traveling across the lands to unite the nations in opposition to the Demon King who is on the verge of revival. Recently, I've heard that dealing with the demons (mazoku) who have begun to move in the shadows has also become part of their mission. Given that, when I think about why they've come to Sanmoto, I can't help but brace myself.

This peaceful and cheerful atmosphere is, without a doubt, a brief moment before the storm──.

As I was thinking about this, I noticed Mayuri, the magician whose calmness was disturbed by the air of the pleasure district, staring at us. Well, to be more precise, she was gazing with eyes that had lost their highlight, directed not at me, but at the beautiful women around me.

Then, she checked her own chest and began moving her hands up and down as if checking something, messing with the air. When I looked again at Kyunei and the others, she was once again trying to grab something from her chest, but of course, she couldn't grasp anything. I had an idea of what she was after, but I lacked the courage to say it out loud.

 "Ah"

 "Hn?"

By chance, Mayuri's and Reed's eyes met. Even from the side, it was clear that the dullness in Mayuri's eyes was replaced with a gleam of reason. Perhaps, Reed also thought, for a brief moment, that they were 'the same' (poor souls).

But that was a big mistake.

It seemed that Mayuri's thoughts had been understood by Reed, who then wore a truly wicked grin.

"Phew... I feel a bit more at ease now that I've stopped hiding my womanly side, but without support, 'something else' sure feels heavy as hell."

Suddenly standing up, Reed thrust her impressive chest right above my head, placing it on top of me. Mayuri, who witnessed this, had an expression as if thunder had struck her mind, looking absolutely furious.

She stood frozen for a moment, but eventually, her shoulders began trembling as she looked down.

"Is God really unfair... damn it!"

A deep, gritted voice full of resentment leaked from Mayuri's throat, as if it had been squeezed from the very depths of the earth. Now that I think of it, she had said something similar when she came to the clinic before.

Relix and the others awkwardly looked away from Mayuri. It seemed that even for them, the current magician, Mayuri, was difficult to approach.

As for the cause of it all, Reed, he was laughing loudly from deep in his belly, truly enjoying himself. He kept laughing with that thing on his head, making it all feel a little strange. Since we were about to have a serious talk, I really hoped he'd stop soon.
