Volume 1 Chapter 33 We Were At A Restaurant, Talking And Having Fun At The Drinks Area
After playing some bowling, it was time for lunch.
"Hey, anyone hungry? Let's eat somewhere random!"
Shinonome-san quickly said,
"Sensei, I'm really hungry too!"
Since others agreed, we chose to eat at a nearby restaurant called 'Guest.'
Guest has a mix of Western, Japanese, and Chinese food. People say it's good for students on a budget, but maybe it's not the best value like 'Saidesuka? (Side?)
We sat at a booth for six people. Three guys sat on one side, with me in the middle. Three girls sat on the other side, with Shinonome-san in the middle. I looked at the menu and said,
"I'll have the cheeseburger rice set, strawberry sauce pancakes, lots of fries, a big salad, and I'll use the drink bar. Does anyone want to share the pancakes, fries, or salad?"
I say that, and Shinonome-san raises her hand and says,
"Then, I'll have the hamburger too."
"Hey, you can order the hamburger yourself."
"Aw, stingy."
"But, isn't that normal?"
Then Saikachi-san raises her hand and says quietly,
"Oh, if it's just a little bit, I'd like to have some too."
"Mm, that would be helpful."
Then Namiki-san also says,
"Well, then, um, I'll help too."
"Yeah, thank you."
Then Gouriki-kun also says,
"Um, can I have some too? Is it okay?"
"No, no, it's fine, of course."
And when I look at Hirose-kun,
"Oh, I'll refrain from joining in. I can't really mix in there."
"Hahaha, sorry about that."
Everyone orders their own dishes like hamburgers, pasta, pizza, dry curry, and goes to the drink bar.
I mix Calpis with melon soda and make it into Calpis melon soda, then I put soft serve on top.
But, Shinonome-san laughs playfully.
"Oh, go ahead and mix it, then put it on soft serve ice cream. That sounds like a great idea, huh?"
"Yeah, I think so."
Saikachi-san also says,
"I see, it seems interesting to mix them together."
"Well, there's also a pretty good chance of making a really gross drink, so I wouldn't recommend it for beginners."
"Is that true?"
"Yeah."
After a while, a hot plate of potatoes and salad is brought to the table.
"Well, shall we eat now?"
By the way, I like mayonnaise with potatoes, or rather, it goes well with fried eggs, yakisoba, and tonkatsu.
"Hata-pippi likes mayonnaise with potatoes."
Shinonome-san asks me, and I nod.
"Ketchup is okay too, but mayonnaise goes well with most things. Plus, mayonnaise doesn't make you gain weight easily."
"Oh, really?"
"Tomato ketchup actually has more carbohydrates compared to other condiments. So it's a bit more likely to cause weight gain than mayonnaise. Well, at the point of eating potatoes, there's not much point in worrying too much about it."

Saikachi-san and Namiki-san were surprised when I mentioned eating potatoes with ketchup. They paused for a moment, looking shocked. Then Saikachi-san turned to me and asked,
"Oh, um, Hata-kun. Would you like to try this?"
"Yeah, sure. I don't mind eating potatoes with ketchup."
I casually ate the potato that Saikachi-san gave me.

Saikachi-san said. Then Namiki-san also spoke up,
"Um, could you eat mine too?"
"Yeah, sure. But you don't have to worry about it. Both of you look good anyway."
While saying that, I ate the potato that Namiki-san offered.
"Sorry, thank you."
"No problem."
Well, I'm used to eating leftovers from parties and such from the "past."
"Tsk"
I felt like the group of guys sitting nearby, having lunch, were annoyed with us. Maybe it's just my imagination.
I mean, there is nothing that makes you click your tongue in this story. Then, Gouriki-kun asks,
"Can you eat mine too?"
"Sure, Gouriki-kun. But maybe you should eat a little more?"
Saying that, I eat the potato that Gouriki-kun offers with an "ahh."

Gouriki-kun is a guy, you know.
After eating the main dishes like hamburgers that were brought later, and when we were cutting and eating the strawberry sauce pancakes that were brought last, except for Hirose-kun, the guys all click their tongue. What's the problem with that, seriously?
