Volume 1 Chapter 41 Nakagaito Wanted To Study With Me, So I Decided To Use Videos Posted On Youtube As A Way To Study

Now, I was teaching Shinonome-san and Saikachi-san in the Home Economics Club, but Nakagaito also asked me to teach her.

When Nakagaito came to me, she glanced at Shinonome-san and Saikachi-san, then said.

"Hi, umm... You are teaching math to them, but can you teach me too?"

"OK, but what do you want to learn?"

 "I want to learn Japanese."

"Japanese, huh? Do you have trouble with modern literature, old literature, or Chinese writing?"

 "Yes, all of them!"

 "Oh, I see."

That is hard to hear with so much confidence.

"Well, you don't look like someone who reads stories or essays, so I get it. Then, let's learn some tricks for studying Japanese and make videos for online, OK?"

"Okay, I'll take care of it."

With that, Nakagaito went back to her seat, looking happy. Normally, if you don't understand something, you should ask the Japanese teacher, but just like the math teacher, the Japanese teacher really loves Japanese. So, if you don't like or find Japanese difficult, you might not understand why.

After school, it's time to shoot a video with Nakagaito. We set up a laptop, camera, and prepared Japanese textbooks, dictionaries, and handouts from school.

 "Well then, let's start filming."

 "Yes."

"Now, combining Kenji, the inexperienced one."

"And Otome, the pure one, we present the Gudaguda High School Debut Channel. Today, we'll talk about study methods for the midterms."

"Studying is hard, huh? I'm really not good at Japanese."

"Oh, well, there are many people like that. But it's good to start studying early in high school with the mindset of preparing for university entrance exams. If you have trouble in the beginning, you might struggle to keep up with the lessons later on."

 "Huh!? Is that true?"

"That's why today we will learn how to study Japanese. We will begin with modern literature."

 "Alright."

"For modern literature, you need to learn how to read well first."

"What do you mean by that?"

"It means that you need to read a story and know what the writer wants to say, why they say it, and what kind of questions you might get in exams. You need to use logic to understand what the story means. You need to learn how to understand Japanese stories and also how to write your own in Japanese. And you need to remember and learn the kanji that you don't know how to read or write."

The only way to learn these skills is by reading stories.

But many people like to do exercises more than reading, because they think it is easier.

So, some people think that Japanese is hard.

Now, to tell others what you read and think, it's good to organize your thoughts by talking and reading out loud.

"So, what do I do first?"

"Well, let's try it out. Open your Japanese textbook, please."

 "...Sure."

"First, read the novel part of the textbook for 10 minutes, around 20-30 times in total."

 "Really? That's it?"

"Yes, but read it well, not just in a flat tone, use proper accents and tone. If you find words or characters you don't know, check them in the dictionary and write them in your notebook with their meanings."

 "Got it, I'll try it."

Nakagaito began reading the novel in the textbook, and I set the timer for 10 minutes in the kitchen.

At the beginning, Nakagaito had some trouble, but with practice, she got better.

I also made sure for her to write down unfamiliar words in her notebook.

When the timer rang, I called out to Nakagaito.

"Okay, it's time. So, what do you think after trying it?"

"Yeah, I feel like I sort of understand it."

"By the way, after words like 'however' or 'but,' the writer often presents their argument. That's an important thing to note. Reading modern literature or any kind of text is usually considered to require a sense of style. But when it comes to studying modern literature, there is a right way to read it. If you read it that way, you can get good grades on tests."

 "Oh, I see."

"Once you start enjoying reading passages from textbooks, it's also a good idea to read well-known novels."

 "Yeah, that's true."

"If you don't have money to buy books, there are websites where people post web novels. One popular one is called 'Become a Novelist (Syosetu).' Among them, there are genres that appeal to girls, like romantic stories set in different worlds."

 "Oh, really?"

"Yeah, if you enjoy Harlequin romance novels or fairy tales like Cinderella, then I think you'll probably like them."

"Well, I'll try reading it sometime then."

"And that's all for now. See you later."

 "See you later., everyone."

So, this time I made a video that gives some useful advice on how to study Japanese.

[Is it really their high school debut?] Discussion thread about Kenji and Otome [And even as individuals?]

1 Anonymous Boy

This is a thread to talk about the YouTubers Kenji and Otome, who claim to have made their high school debut.

For now, let's avoid talking about other YouTubers.

2 Anonymous Boy

Thanks for starting the thread.

3 Anonymous Boy

>>1

Thanks for starting the thread. It's nice to have a thread dedicated to them, right?

4 Anonymous Boy

>>1

Thanks for starting the thread. By the way, has anyone already watched the video this time?

5 Anonymous Boy

>>4

I watched it. Is that Kenji guy really part of the high school debut group? It's difficult to believe he could attract such a cute girl.

6 Anonymous Boy

>>4

I watched it, I watched it. That guy not only speaks well, but he's also smart.

7 Anonymous Boy

>>6

That will get Otome's notice.

I think he's quite helpful too.

8 Anonymous Boy

>>7

Otome-tan is so cute when she reads the book seriously.

9 Anonymous Girl

But, I don't think suggesting Syosetu is a good idea.

You should honestly recommend Harlequin Romance.

10 Anonymous Boy

Is Syosetu isekai romance so different from Harlequin?

11 Anonymous Girl

Well, you should start getting ready for the mid-term tests as soon as possible.

I hope they would study something other than Japanese.

12 Anonymous Boy

That's true.

Hello, we have other project about someone who has returned from an isekai. The main character is a hero who has defeated the Demon Lord. However, for some reason, the human-demon war has resumed and will take place in the MC's original world. The MC, unaware of this, meets a Saint from that world and asks them to join the war. But what does the MC say? They refuse. Is it because their love was rejected by the princess when they adventured together in the past or are they simply fed up? And are the MC will join later? You can find out by clicking on the following => [Link]

We also have a similar genre returned from isekai but has different MC's characteristic. The story is punishing someone who troll in SNS, someone who cheat and many more. You can find out in => [Link]
