Volume 2 Chapter 49 The Study Method For Physics In Science Subjects Is Similar To Mathematics

During the time when the home economics club was doing activities, I was able to use a sewing machine to make pants.

But when I tried them on, I realized that the waist was too small for me, even though I followed the pattern.

In the end, I gave the hot pants I made to Shinonome-san. But I think it will be difficult to dress up for the upcoming comic market with a costume that I made myself to fit my body.

I don't really know how to make a costume from scratch.

It would be fun to have time to try and learn from mistakes, but there are only about two months left until the comic market, and it would take a long time to make a complete cosplay costume.

So I asked my mom if she knew anyone who could make a costume. As a result, Yayoi-chan's mom, Satsuki-san, who is also my mom's sister, will teach me how to make the costume.

When you try something new, it's comforting to learn from someone who has experience. So, I feel better now.

Tomorrow, there is a group study session.

And Shinonome-san came to me crying.

 "Waaah. Hataemon, please help me!"

I feel like we've had this conversation before, so I ask.

 "Well, Shinota-kun... what happened?"

"Well, you know, I don't understand science at all."

I see, if you're not good at math, there's a high chance you won't be good at science either.

"By the way, where exactly do you not understand?"

"Where don't I understand? I don't understand anything to begin with."

 Well, that's expected.

In high school, there are subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, and geography, but physics and chemistry are important for university entrance exams.

Actually, in some schools, you can't even take geography as a subject.

"Well then, shall we start by choosing problems from upper elementary grades and work on understanding them again?"

 "Yes! Thank you."

"By the way, is Kokonoe-san good at science?"

I asked Kokonoe-san and she frowned as she replied.

"The kurasu in Japanese high skuuru are too difficult. I'm not doing well at all."

I laughed when I heard that.

"Well, I guess if you just came from America, you might feel that way."

In America, the education system and class difficulty vary a lot because it's a federal country. But it seems that classes in Japan are harder, especially in high school.

Unlike Japan, in America, there is no "high school entrance exam" because high school is a part of mandatory education. Students attend the high school in their residential area, but they don't have to go to the same school all the time.

Of course, just going to school doesn't guarantee graduation. Students still need to complete required subjects, earn enough credits, and pass the graduation exam.

In Japan, there is a problem with too much homework in schools, which makes it difficult for those who can't handle it to keep up.

In high school, some subjects like science and social studies might not need a lot of studying. But for university exams, you usually need to know physics and chemistry. It's important to understand them early.

Physics is about solving problems, and you don't need to memorize a lot. It's more about understanding the basics than just remembering formulas. If you understand and are good at math, getting good grades should be easier.

Just memorizing formulas won't help because you need to solve tricky problems. Your physics grade depends on understanding and applying the basics. If physics is tough for you, it can be hard to understand and get good grades, even with lots of studying.

Chemistry doesn't need as much math as physics, but you need to memorize more. Biology has even less math but needs more memorization.

For now, it's best for both of them to start with physics, especially if it's the harder subject.

So, during my break from school, I decided to play around with the school's computer. I searched for problem sets and arranged them in my own way. Then, I printed them out for the two of us to solve together.

My goal was to bring the problems to a level where they could handle the formulas and calculations for objects falling freely.

"Um, so, if you drop a smartphone from the air with an initial speed of 0, and it falls 19.6 meters, what would be its speed at that point and how long would it take to reach that position? Let's assume g=9.8 [m/s2] and ignore things like air resistance and such. It's not a complete question, but..."

 Shinonome-san says with a growl.

"What Shinonome-san said is correct, but the 19.6 meters is the important part."

"I see, because objects falling freely have constant acceleration..."

 Shinonome-san calculates the numbers.

"v=19.6m/s, which is about 70.56km/h, and t=2.0s, right? So, if we drop Hata-pippi from a height of 19.6 meters, then approximately 2 seconds later, she'll hit the ground at around 71 kilometers per hour."

I tell Shinonome-san that I'm not happy, and she just laughs, saying,

"Hey... don't convert it from your smartphone without permission."

But she says it without feeling sorry,

"But it's easier to get it that way."

Then, Kokonoe-san looks confused and asks,

 "What do you mean?"

 Shinonome-san explains to Kokonoe-san,

 "In simple words..."

Kokonoe-san, who was figuring out the problem, looks up with a smile and says,

 "Ah, I get it now!"

While Saikachi-san and Nakagaito, the others in the study group, watch with smiles, it's weird how I feel relieved if these two can understand physics.

Well, it is a study group, after all.

Hello, we have a NEW project about mc whose heroines want to become his mother instead of his lover. You can read it on here => Link

Hello, we have other project about someone who has returned from an isekai. The main character is a hero who has defeated the Demon Lord. However, for some reason, the human-demon war has resumed and will take place in the MC's original world. The MC, unaware of this, meets a Saint from that world and asks them to join the war. But what does the MC say? They refuse. Is it because their love was rejected by the princess when they adventured together in the past or are they simply fed up? And are the MC will join later? You can find out by clicking on the following => [Link]

We also have a similar genre returned from isekai but has different MC's characteristic. The story is punishing someone who troll in SNS, someone who cheat and many more. You can find out in => [Link]
