Volume 1 Chapter 5 First Quest
"Eeekkkk, It's a monster!"
The rough-looking duo of adventurers trembled as they ran away. With that kind of scared reaction, they probably won't bother this guild.
"Um, um, are you alright? We heard a loud noise..."
"I'm fine, they ran away. They were pretty scared, so I don't think they'll come back here."
"Thank you so much..."
Nina bowed deeply.
"So, I want to consult about a job right away."
I'm currently unemployed, so I want to quickly find some kind of income and feel secure.
"It would be appreciated if you could introduce me to a suitable quest."
"Understood, Rain-san. What kind of quest are you looking for?"
"Well... I guess, a subjugation quest."
That would be the best fit for using the enhanced sword and armor.

The cloth armor I'm wearing has been enhanced with a bonus of '+3033'.
Its defensive power is beyond that of steel armor.
Or perhaps it's on the level of the hardest material, Orichalcum.
"In other words, to summarize, only the weapons and armor are cheat-level, while I myself have normal specs."
However, with just the performance of these weapons and armor (or rather, just normal clothes), I think I can easily hunt down most monsters.
Especially the sword.
It might not be easy for my skills to land a hit.

The middle-aged magician laughed boisterously.
"I can't just let a newcomer go to slay a dragon alone. I'll go with you."

"You never know what might happen in a quest. Young one, from the looks of it, you came here as a support role, right? You probably have little experience in direct combat, don't you?"
It seems that he's worried about me.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Bernard Zola."
"I'm Rain Garland."
"I apologize for meddling, Rain. But I just couldn't leave it alone."
"No, I appreciate your concern."
Honestly, because of being driven out of the previous guild like that, I felt like I was defensive against other adventurers.
But, this person is surely coming with me out of pure goodwill. I don't want to disregard that feeling.
"Understood. Let's go together."
──So, I joined the new guild and the first quest became the subjugation of the strongest monster, the dragon.
