"It seems they've come."
Shizuru whispered beside me. I looked over to see the barricade at the entrance of the cave temple moving. A woman appeared there. The monsters near the entrance noticed her and all at once began to head toward the entrance. In the next moment, several beams of light emanated from her body, piercing through the monsters.
"That is our leader, the Head Shrine Maiden."
As Shizuru said this, I felt the Head Shrine Maiden's eyes glance in our direction. The monsters, realizing that their companions had been struck down by the light, noticed the Head Shrine Maiden at the entrance. However, they did not immediately launch an attack. They gathered, keeping a slight distance and beginning to surround the entrance.
"This is bad. We won't be able to enter the cave temple at this rate."
