Volume 2 Chapter 5 Dragon Kingdom Gadreza
Several days into our journey, we arrived at Dragon Kingdom Gadreza.
Upon our arrival, we made our way to the adventurers' guild, "Wings of the Tyrant Dragon."
Just like the "Fang of the Beast King" that I used to belong to and "Shield of the Holy Emperor" to which Lily belongs, this guild is one of the "Big Five," the mightiest guilds on the continents.
"We are considering challenging the 'Ruins of the Light Dragon.' With all due respect, we would like to seek your permission for this."
I bowed and spoke.
The exploration of the 'Ruins of the Light Dragon' is under the jurisdiction of the "Wings of the Tyrant Dragon."
"Challenging the 'Ruins of the Light Dragon,' you say...?"
The Guild Master of "Wings of the Tyrant Dragon" nodded as he looked at me and Lily.
He was an intelligent-looking man in his forties, with glasses perched on his nose.
"Even for the 'Flame Holy Knight' Lily Frambell, I believe conquering the 'Ruins of the Light Dragon' is exceedingly difficult. And... the same goes for you."
And he looks at me.
The eyes behind his glasses are sharp, just as I would expect from the Master of the strongest guild.
"Rain-san, is it...? Excuse me, but I haven't heard your name before. I remember the names of all high-ranking adventurers... What rank are you?"
"I'm rank D."
I said honestly.
Yes, even though I belong to the strongest guild, my adventurer rank is D.
It's mainly because I've been doing mostly behind-the-scenes work and haven't been able to build up many achievements.
"If a rank D enters that ruins, they will definitely die, yes. Please reconsider."
The Guild Master frowned.
"I understand your concern, Master. Rain-sama is not just an ordinary rank D. His power is comparable to, or even surpasses, rank S..."
"Him?"
The Guild Master frowned even more.

Now, it's finally time to challenge the most difficult dungeon──.
Two hours later, we were at the "Ruins of Light Dragon".
It looks like an ordinary dungeon.
However, there is a vast underground dungeon here, which has been deemed impregnable.
"If I remember correctly, no one has reached the bottom in over five hundred years."
"The last person to reach it was the ancient hero, Elvain-sama. He placed the 'Refaid Sword' in the deepest part of the ruins."
Said Lily.
