Chapter 55 Resumption Of Treatment
I opened the door to the treatment room that I had been using almost every day, stepping away from the reception counter. To my surprise, it remained exactly as it was when I was last there.
There was a desk, with two chairs placed across from each other. Originally, the treatment here was nothing more than bandaging and, at most, the application of splints. On the wall, there was a built-in shelf, like a closet, filled with various items for first aid.
When it came to serious injuries, it seemed that one was supposed to go to the church. However, the donation fee required for their services was quite high. That's why, most of the time, adventurers who possess a low-level Healing Attribute and are capable of treating other people's injuries to a certain extent, are requested.
However, the levels of those adventurers were at best in the single digits. While they could handle minor scratches and cuts, when it came to severe injuries such as broken bones, their healing abilities only served to accelerate the recovery process to some extent. Nonetheless, they would still have a little bit of magic used on others every day and wait for the body to heal, as that was the usual course of action.
When I appear in such situations, I take on any injury for just ten copper coins, so earning the trust of adventurers wasn't difficult. When asked, "How did you become like this?" and I answered honestly with "Effort and determination," I was met with disbelief.
Anyway, I sat heavily on the back chair and said, "Display Self-Status." Then, a familiar display similar to the game's status screen appeared in front of me. I took out a mana tea from my inventory, drank it all in one gulp, and put it back in the inventory. I then cast "Mana Recover" again.
Even now, "Pulse (Pulsating Assistive Spell)" and "Resurrect (Resurrection Spell)" spells are still active. So I'm in a state where I continue to train to increase my mana capacity. Thanks to that, the amount of mana increases every day, even if only slightly.
I regularly cast 'Mana Recover', so normally, I can see the mana gradually returning from the amount decreased by 'Resurrect'. However, because of the overlap with Mana Tea, the amount of mana that decreases a little every approximately 10 seconds interestingly starts returning.
I finish my preparations and look towards the hall. There, I see Julienne-san cautiously peering at me.
"Don't worry, I won't get angry."
"Really?"
"Come here, let's hurry up and heal. There will be days when drinking liquor won't hurt anymore."
No one in this country is at fault. Of course, Julienne-san is the same.
The bad guys are elsewhere. That's why Rosalier-san is gathering evidence to hold them accountable. I trust her and only treat those who are suffering.
"Yes, please."
Yep. I think it's good to be honest.
"Um, for now, 'Dis Recover (Cure Disease)'."
I can visibly see the darkness shrinking and disappearing.
"...Yes, the dark spots are gone. Alright, let's finish with 'Full Recover'. Is this good enough?"

"Nice to meet you, my brother (ani) has been in your care."

Who? Was there a guy close to me? Then Etoelise-san, she looks down once and then looks up at me with a smirk on her face.
"Last night was enjoyable, wasn't it?――"
"Oaaaahhh!"
I couldn't help but point and shout.
"That's it."
"Sorry. That's right, you look familiar. It's Seteas-san."
I thought she looked like someone, and it turned out to be Seteas-san. Yeah, her eyes do look similar. Her voice also feels a little similar.
"Yes, that's right. I'm Seteas' little sister, Etoelise."
Seteas-san is the young owner of the inn I stayed at in Daioraden. He always teased me, but he always sent me off with a smile.
That's right. He told me about that tavern, and I met Mesaja-san there. He made me realize that I could be useful. In a way, he's one of my benefactors.
"Oh my, Seteas-san has a little sister... Ah, speaking of which, there was a girl who came for treatment together, right?"
"Yes, that was me."
"I see. Well, for now, let's put Seteas-san aside."
I made a gesture as if lifting something, slid it to the side, and made a placing gesture.

I pointed to the man out of the room, who was with another woman.

I can hear them whispering. It's like students arguing about the order they're being scolded by the teacher.
"Hey, the person over there is waiting. Hurry up and go."
"Yes, okay."
He reluctantly sits down, but when he puts his hand on the chair, he seems to be in a lot of pain, as if he's trying to hide his embarrassment or look cool.
"Sorry about that. Then, 'Middle Recover (Intermediate Healing Spell).' I don't think you'll feel any pain now, so could you take off your gloves and check?"
"Oh, it really doesn't hurt. That's amazing..."
Seems like a guy in his mid-twenties, probably an adventurer. Looks like he's with a strong-willed woman who's around the same age or slightly older.
