"I am Ark, a magician. And she is Fatina, the Swordsman... Then, Mel is magician."
"So you're Ark-san, Fatina-san, and Mel-san. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, Chester-san."
"Nice to meet you."
Chester and I decided to dive into the dungeon together, so we introduced ourselves to each other.
Mel hasn't registered as an adventurer, so she's not really an adventurer. But since it would cause various problems if we revealed her true identity, for now, let's just say she's a magician.
"We're going to depart, but I want you to stay towards the back as much as possible inside the dungeon."
"Yes, understood."
Chester nodded vigorously and indicated his agreement.
Chester mentioned that he has a Level Cap of 40, so I don't think he'll be at a disadvantage against the monsters on the upper layers. But just to be safe, it's better to be cautious.
"Hey, how strong are you guys as adventurers? Like, what's your Rank?"

"Oh, really! You're stronger than me even though you're younger. You should be fine in the upper layer then. But the middle layer might be a bit tough."
Yeah, Chester's right. It's gonna be hard to go past the middle layer where 'C' Rank monsters start showing up.
"I'll take the lead then."
"Yeah, go for it."
Fatina walks ahead, and then the rest of us follow behind.
With Chester and Mel around, it's better to have Fatina, who has good hearing, up front so she can sense trouble early.
We keep walking through the Aquaflow Cavern.
The cave was formed by rocks that were blue or white, creating a different atmosphere from the upper layer of the Emerald Green Dungeon, which was just filled with reddish-brown soil.
The ground was covered in gravel, making a sound like small stones rubbing against each other with every step.
Since we hadn't gone deep into the cave yet, it was bright inside, so there didn't seem to be any problems with visibility for now.
The wide path, surrounded by rock walls and a ceiling, sometimes went straight and sometimes twisted and turned.
Because of that, even though there was only one path, it was often difficult to see what was ahead. We had to be careful not to suddenly encounter a monster.
"I can hear the sound of flowing water from ahead."
Fatina said as she continued walking.
It matched the description of the dungeon we heard from the guild receptionist. It said that water was constantly flowing from everywhere.
The Aquaflow Cavern seems to live up to its name, just like the Emerald Green Dungeon was a place filled with lush greenery.
As we continued on, just as Fatina had said, I could hear the sound of flowing water.
I quickly realized what was making the sound.
On the left side of the path ahead, there was a large hollow space, almost like a big hole, with a considerable amount of water flowing down from above.
The water that flowed down seemed to form a small waterfall basin.
"Wow, it's like a mystical landscape that you would only find in a dungeon... Oh!"
Chester stepped forward and was looking down at the waterfall with great interest when suddenly he exclaimed.
And then, something suddenly jumped out of the waterfall basin and appeared on the path.
'Ribbit...ribbit...'
What appeared were giant green frogs. There were about seven or eight of them.
These frogs were about half our height and were making strange croaking noises while sticking out their long tongues.
"Here it comes! It's Poison Toad!"
Chester, slightly flustered, drew the short sword that was hanging from his waist.
As the son of a merchant guild member, he must have had some experience leveling up, so it seemed like he had fought them before.
The receptionist had said that Poison Toad was a D-rank monster. Should we try defeating them all at once (Death)?
"I'll take care of this."
Just as I was thinking that, Fatina stepped forward before me and approached the Poison Toads.
"Alright."

The Poison Toads extended their tongues and leaped high, all targeting Fatina at once.

The Poison Toads fell to the ground without being able to land a single blow.

Fatina's Level Cap has been unlocked by the power of the key, and it is currently at 130. There still seems to be plenty of room for growth.
My skill level in [Instant Death Magic] probably won't increase unless I go down to the lower layers of the dungeon.
So, it would be better to have her take the lead and defeat the challenging monsters while leveling up.

"No... I'll keep moving forward then."
After thanking Fatina, we aim for the depths of the dungeon once again.
"──Huh? W-what are you doing now? What about the monsters...?"
Meanwhile, Chester was dumbfounded, blinking repeatedly.
"If it's monsters, I've already defeated them. Let's go."
"Y-you defeated them? I... I didn't see anything... A group of D-rank Poison Toads was instantly split in half..."
Chester looked at the motionless Poison Toads in front of him, unable to understand what had just happened.
"She has the skill of [Sword Saint]."
"What?! The highest level skill of that Swordsman!? No wonder she's unbelievably strong..."
As Mel explained, Chester seemed surprised but also understood.

Chester stated it as if it were obvious.
The lower layer of the Emerald Green Dungeon is a dangerous area where A-rank monsters like Minotaurs attack suddenly.
However, this is not the case with Aquaflow Cavern, and adventurers are reportedly invading it.
If that's true, it wouldn't be surprising if there are adventurers who have already conquered Aquaflow Cavern.
It's possible that Aquaflow Cavern isn't as difficult as Emerald Green Dungeon was. However, if so, the key may no longer be here.
(...but if the dungeon has been conquered, the monsters should be gone)
According to the receptionist, the number of monsters has been increasing recently. It feels like the situation doesn't suit it somehow.
Anyway. there is no progress even if I think about it here.
We just have to go inside and see for ourselves.
